We had a chance to grab Susie for a quick interview and here's what she has to say....

1.What inspired you to be a designer of children's rooms? Although I have always loved interior design, it was actually the process of decorating my own children’s rooms that really sparked my interest.  It was just a really happy and creative experience…and after that I was hooked!  There is nothing more fun and rewarding than creating a wonderful space for a child, whether it is a baby’s nursery, ateen room or a playroom. To facilitate this process for our customers and to share in this experience with other parents from around the world is such a treat.

2. What makes Rosenberry Rooms unique? 3. Tell us your favorite celebrity baby nurseries project.One of our recent projects involved working with the set designer on anupcoming film starring Jack Black and James Marsden called DTrain, which filmed in New Orleans earlier this year and features some fabulous Charn products.  I can’t wait to see them on screen!

4. Why do you like working with Charn & Company? What is your favorite Charn Product?We have worked with Charn & Company for a very long time and treasure our relationship.  It is an honor to work with such a talented designer who pours her creativity and enthusiasm into every creation, as is evident in the beautiful quality of each product.  I adore every single design, so it is very hard to choose, but among my favorites is the Bella Floral Bead Plaque.

5. What are some future plans for Rosenberryrooms?  Any new collaborations?Rosenberry Rooms has enjoyed creating exclusive designs and looks forward to introducing more custom creations.  Check out our exclusivelighting and clocks!

6. How do you keep on top of Nursery trends?I love to look at magazines and peruse blogs for design inspiration and to keep up with new ideas and trends.

7.Tell us briefly about your retail store?In mid 2009, we opened our flagship retail store and design center in Raleigh, NC to allow us to interact with our local customers.  Our boutique is the perfect place to see our gorgeous products in person, to shop for fabulous birthday and shower gifts, or to meet one-one withan interior designer. Our mission is to provide parents with everything they need to create the perfect space for their children through an engaging shopping experience that is creative and fun.

8.What is your favorite …

Color = Orange

Book = Anything by Flannery O’Connor

Movie = I’m obsessed with documentaries.  As far as fiction goes, I thought Moonrise Kingdom was great.

Mommy moment – I have a new one everyday; it’s impossible to say!
