A Look at Charn & Company
Welcome to Charn & Company! We are pleased to announce our 13th year in business. We have certainly enjoyed making beautiful products these past years and thank all of you for supporting our business. We promise to always make a good impression for you and your customers. It doesn't seem to long ago when I was a very young girl spending most of my time at my parent's furniture and lamp shop. I watched as my father bent the steel frames and my mother played with silks to adorn many interestingly shaped lampshades. In those early years, my mother never offered me a single lesson on making a lampshade, yet somehow I felt that I already knew how. The technical skills of cutting and sewing would come later. But the real lessons, the ones of appreciation and passion, developed long before.
Today, Charn & Company is very proud to continue my family's tradition. We are mindful of keeping alive all the old skills, and at the same time, striving to design a look that is classy and refreshing. Charn & Company is recognized for our unique applications of using printed fabrics such as florals, checks, and stripes. What we call different "panel designing" allows us to transform these printed fabrics into lampshades of different shapes and sizes without distorting the direction of the pattern. Bouquets of florals are placed with intention, while checks and stripes match together in patterns that are pleasing to the eye.
Charn & Company also proudly crafts our own line of handpainted wood lamps. These custom lamps are made from selected hardwoods and brushpainted to create a fine finish that handsomely complements our custom fabric lampshades. Our line includes a unique ensemble of floor lamps, chandeliers, sconces, and tables which are all handcrafted with same attention to detail and design. We are continuing to expand our product line to include new and refreshing items, while maintaining the level of quality our customers demand. We hope that are handcrafted products will add to the beauty of your store or home.
